Instead of my scheduled long run today I ran The Big Half. It was the best running I’ve done so far.

I ran with my friend Robin and we started out a bit too quickly, but didn’t drop the pace for the whole 13 miles. This is definitely a reward for the long runs put into training. Suddenly 21km isn’t a long distance, it’s a normal run, it holds no fear.
I set my half PB a few weeks ago at the East London Half and knocked another 3 minutes off it today. At the beginning of the year I would have said this time was impossible for me.

Delighted my good friend and training partner Emma smashed her PB too. We’ve been talking about her going under two hours for weeks, she brought home a 1:56.

A really amazing day. Confidence boosted. There are 7 weeks to go until London. Bring. It. On.
